If you like peace, quiet and nature, you can head to the bonsai museum in Seeboden by Lake Millstatt, 40 minutes away from the apartment. You will find more than 15,000 m² of Japanese gardens, making this the largest museum of its kind in Europe. This beautiful area invites you to sit and relax among the bonsai, many of which are over 100 years old – there are around 3,000 of them in 120 different varieties.
Explore the ZEN gardens, designed in the Japanese tradition with a koi carp pond or tea house. If you want, you can even buy some bonsai to take home as a souvenir.
Entry is free with the Carinthian card.
