Set out to explore the unique landscape of the Carinthian Bleistätter Moor. Just four kilometres from the apartment, in the north-east of Lake Ossiach, there lie 600 hectares of moorland, woven with beautiful, well-marked trails of 4-11 km.
You can probably tell by the length that these are not about hiking or pushing your body to the limit 🙂 – these are so-called slow trails that invite you to walk, to observe the landscape and species-rich nature in this European protected area.
Take your binoculars and set off to discover around 100 different species of birds, butterflies, bats or the European beaver. In the spring months, you can even book a walk with an ornithologist.
