From spring to autumn, a cruise ship with the simple, aptly name Ossiach crosses Lake Ossiach from village to village. A total of 8 stops await you along the coast. You can only go one stop, 2 stops but it is also possible to take a sightseeing cruise which takes about 2,5 hours.
As it is possible to interrupt the tour anywhere and get on again, we recommend getting off at the Ossiach station and taking a short trip there – you can see the local monastery, have a bite to eat or take a walk around Ossiach. You can then get back on board and continue your cruise.
This trip is for everyone and can be taken in almost any weather – if the weather is nice you can enjoy the scenery from the upper deck, if you are surprised by rain it is possible to take the trip in the lower covered part. You can buy drinks, ice cream and desserts on the boat during the cruise.
The boat can transport bikes, strollers and dogs.
During the summer season, there is a “Schiff and Grill” event every Tuesday evening.
The price depends on the section of the trip you choose, but with the Carinthia Card you are entitled to one free cruise per day.
