If you are looking for a hike with beautiful views, a visit to the Hohe Gloriette might be a good idea. The starting point is the small town of Pörtschach am Wörther See, only half an hour’s drive from our apartment. From here, you’ll have a 40-minute walk through the forest, uphill, as is usual for trips with rewarding views. 🙂
At the top, you’ll have a panoramic view of Lake Wörthersee along with a charming columned gazebo where you can relax. There is also a wooden bench that offers the opportunity to listen to Brahms’ music and enjoy the view of the surrounding area.
Nearby, you can also explore the Leonstein ruins, go to one of the restaurants or take a dip in the Promenadenbad.
