If you are an animal lover and are also interested in a bit of history, one of your destinations could be the ruins of Landskron Castle, located about ten kilometres from Bodensdorf. Two main attractions await you when you visit – in the historic setting and surroundings of the old castle, you can visit the Affenberg Monkey Reserve with around 150 macaques or the Eagle Arena, where you can watch eagles being trained. As an added bonus, there’s a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat after a nice day out. With the Carinthian Card, entry to the castle is free. 🙂
