If you are one of those who are fascinated by the space and are always eager to learn more and more about it, you can make a stop at the nearby Kanzelhöhe Solar and Stellar Observatory. Located at the top of Gerlitzen, it focuses on daily observations of solar activity.
Three observing towers with large telescopes and other necessary equipment rise from the main building. The observatory is open to the public, daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free. There is also the possibility to book a guided tour if requested in advance.
