If you love animals or are wondering where to take the kids, you can go to the largest zoo in Carinthia, the Rosegg Zoo.
On 30 hectares you will find more than 300 animals, many of which roam freely around the grounds (e.g. peacocks, deer, ibex – so don’t worry, they did not escape from their enclosures, they are used to people :)).
Most of the trails are also suitable for strollers, so you can take the little ones with you on a nature walk. As well as the animals, there’s also a castle with a cafe, a hornbeam labyrinth, a playground, a petting zoo, and of course a zoo buffet, so there’s plenty to experience.
If you want to take a dip after your visit, there is the Wörthersee Lake just 5 km from the Rosegg Zoo.
