Gerlitzen is a great place to spend some time on your summer holiday. The nearest path to Gerlitzen starts just 100 metres from our apartment and leads up a toll road. However, most of the visitors use the Kanzelbahn cable car, which is in the town of Annenheim (about 10 minutes drive from the apartment). The cable car takes you up to about 1450 metres above sea level. If you want to go to the top (1911 m above sea level), you can take the chairlift or continue on foot.
Gerlitzen offers many hiking trails with amazing views of the landscape. It is of course possible to walk down to the valley, which makes for a day trip.
If you want to add something a little bit different to the beauty of Gerlitzen nature, you can try the Pistenflitzer (a ride on small cars on a track that is spread out over one slope).
